aim of the workshop is to mobilize relevant stakeholders
with a view toward reinforcing international coordination
and cooperation in «Knowledge for Development»
by focusing on Science & Technology's role in the fulfilment
of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).

importance of refocusing agricultural policies in the
current environment of rising raw-material and food prices.

between regional integration and mutual knowledge in the
context of the Community of Portuguese-speaking countries
workshop's output is expected to contribute toward governance
responses that are able to foster increased scientific-capacity
building and trust-based and mutually accountable cooperation,
as required by the United Nation's objective of a «Global
Partnership for Development».
